Description
IGF-LR3 (Insulin-like Growth Factor) from Paradigm Peptides comes in a 1 mg vial. It has a white powder-like appearance and must be reconstituted prior to use. Similar to insulin on a molecular level, this peptide mainly affects bone growth, muscle growth, and muscle repair.
Like IGF-1, IGF-LR3 is being studied to help increase muscle mass through hyperplasia (the creation of new muscle cells), as well as improving muscle recovery and maintenance through increased uptake of nutrients and amino acids. Unlike IGF-1, IGF-LR3 has been altered to ensure a longer half life that lasts an average of 25 hours — instead of 20 minutes.
Negative Effects
If overused, IGF-LR3 has been shown to cause hypoglycemia, so dosing should be carefully monitored during studies. Furthermore, while this peptide does notcause cancer, there is inconclusive evidence that shows it may increase tumor size in cancer patients if injected too frequently.
